FOCUS ON JAPAN

Asia Pacific is a fast-growing region for Starwood’s global strategy, with Japan being the most important market for the company within the APAC region. Starwood made the decision to move its APAC headquarters from Hong Kong to Tokyo in 2020 as part of its long-term commitment to Japan. It intends to grow its team in Tokyo to effectively invest in Japan and elsewhere in the Asia Pacific region.

Furthermore, due to the decision to establish Tokyo as the Asia Pacific headquarters for Starwood, Mr. Kevin Lee, the managing director and Head of Real Estate Asia, has relocated from Hong Kong to Japan in 2020. The Japanese market is considered a long-term strategic market for Starwood and will be integral to its future investment plans.
